This cover design for Tarnished is punk-inspired and explores unexpected beauty. By combining fragile natural elements (butterflies, nature) with the vulnerability of a statue, it visually communicates the creative direction and the magazine's mission.
My three-year commitment to Tarnished Magazine honed my production, leadership, and collaboration skills. As art editor, I managed layout reviews, conducted critiques, and recruited artists from Greater Boston for publication features.
My role as the Art Editor has provided a unique experience, fostering connections with artists. Our dedication paid off when Polished won the Columbia Scholastic Press Association Gold Circle Award in Spring 2023.
